Voicemail
Unlike most telephone companies, the PBNext monthly service includes voicemail as
a standard feature. Each PBNext user is provided their own mailbox and can also be a
member of various group-mailboxes which can be created for departments or other
organizational units.
PBNext voicemail is truly powerful -- messages can be retrieved in a multitude of ways
from the web, to email, to over the telephone. Whenever you need it, PBNext is there.
Multi-level auto-attendant
Auto-attendant is one of the expensive-PBX features that truly seperates small businesses
from their larger competitors. With PBNext's multi-level auto attendant, your organization
will look, feel, and sound like a large organization.
PBNext is also there for you as you grow -- the auto attendant will ensure that your callers
are walked through your menu hierarchy and are routed to the appropriate individual or department.
Handles 1 to 20 calls on 1 phone
Using your current local telephone line, PBNext allows you to manage up to 20 calls simultaneously.
The PBNext software will display all your incoming and outgoing phone calls allowing you to select a caller to speak with.
The software clearly shows which call you are connected to, which ones are on hold, and which callers are ringing -- waiting for your attention.
You can switch between callers by using the intuitive user-interface and clicking on any of the many actions:
Hold, Connect, Transfer, Send to Voicemail, Add to Conference, etc.
Conference calling (up to 16 callers)
PBNext includes (for no additional charge) basic conferencing capabilities, saving your organization the expense
of signing up with a third-party conference calling provider. The built-in conferencing capabilities in PBNext can
conference up to 16 parties by just clicking a few buttons -- no need to schedule a conference, provide call-in numbers
or hassle with additional bills. You only pay for your normal per-minute usage charges.
More advanced conferencing is available for an additional fee, and includes scheduled conferences for up to 3,000 parties
with additional features such as Q/A coordination and operator assistance.
Call transferring
Just like any other PBX, PBNext allows you to transfer a caller to another user or department -- just select the extension
in the transfer dialog, or enter an extension number. It's all built in the PBNext software with a simple point-and-click
interface and there are no complex key combinations to memorize.
"Follow me" call forwarding
PBNext contains a call-forwarding system much more advanced than that of any standard PBX. This call-forwarding mechanism, known
as "follow-me", allows you to schedule arbitrarily complex rules based on time of day, day or week, and many other parameters.
Each follow-me rule can try multiple numbers to get in touch with you, and coming soon, will even send
text messages to SMS capable devices (such as your cell phone). When all else fails, follow-me rules
can either transfer the caller to your voicemail, or to another extension.
PBNext's follow-me rules will find you wherever you are.
Music-on-hold
PBNext will make sure that there is never any silence on the line -- when a caller is waiting
on you for any reason, whether they were placed on hold, or are still waiting to be answered,
they will hear hold music.
The music is licensed and provided by PBNext and included in your
monthly service fee. There is no need to obtain music licenses or pay any royalties.
Caller ID
All PBNext accounts automatically feature caller-id. You will see the phone number of any
callers to your PBNext number(s), unless they are calling from an area where caller-id
is not available.
Caller-id may be blocked by the caller in some cases, but not when calling
your toll-free number. Combine this feature with the toll-free number included with your
PBNext number and you get "unblockable caller-id".
Receive digital faxes
All PBNext numbers can automatically detect and receive incoming faxes. The faxes are
automatically converted to PDF documents which you can view or print from your PC. There
are no additional fees for incoming faxes (per minute charges still apply).
Toll-free number
All PBNext accounts include one toll-free number in the monthly service fee. Toll-free
numbers allow your customers to get in touch with you more easily, and they allow you to
better track customer contact using unblockable caller-id.
Additional toll-free numbers, as well as local numbers, can be ordered from PBNext for an
additional fee. You can even port (transfer) your existing numbers (additional fees apply).
